VIDEO: Chris Harper left bloodied after crash on stage 3 of Criterium du Dauphine 2024

In his first race back since dramatically crashing out of the Tour of the Alps, Team Jayco AlUla's general classification hope at the 2024 Criterium du Dauphine, Chris Harper has again been involved in a crash.

As the road reached a narrow pinch point over a small, brick-built bridge the Australian was forced into the side of the room and left with no more room to move, crashing hard into the bricks and stones but thankfully, not going over the bridge and down into the water below.

As mentioned, Harper crashed out of the 2024 Tour of the Alps in very dramatic after attacking on a fast and dangerous descent. Thankfully the incident at the Criterium du Dauphine wasn't race-ending as the Team Jayco AlUla leader was quickly back up on his bike and being paced back into the peloton, albeit a little bloodier than he had been previously.
