Liège-Bastogne-Liège is nicknamed "La Doyenne" (The Old Lady) and it is one of the oldest races in professional road cycling. It is an historical and classic race and is currently the fourth monument in cycling.
The race is currently the great climax and headline of the spring Ardennes classics, in which the puncheurs and climbers have their first big opportunity of the season to succeed.
