- Wish Joao Almeida was in this UAE team for the Giro instead of Ayuso.
- All of UAE's other leaders have this problem, they are strong but they just cannot win a GT or a monument without Pogi.
- If his fight was for GC, he could have worked together with Carapaz when Carapaz caught up to him. But he just sat behind his wheel and didn't pull, so I thought he might be on his limit. Then, he attacked at the top. Working together with Carapaz could have been beneficial for both GC goals, a win-win. I have no idea about his thought process.
- Ayuso does this, he talks & show early, very well then fades, tho he's young and riding WT level is big! he'll come good in the yrs to come his Latin genes will pull thru for him. Del Toro needs to hang on, yet he's sharing with Ayuso.. UAE need to sort themselves tactically, going with A rider than scrapping on the road, murmurs infighting , they've burnt matches 'fighting' over who's leading, they'll only have themselves to blame if loss is their win!
- because he's in pain (sore) from those crashes.
- I'm surprised that Movistar still hasn't thwarted Carapaz's attacks.
- Take out Pogi’s wins and UAE still wins more than the next best team.
- Simon used to crack big time in an earlier Giro. Maybe he can prevent it this time. But that time he made a very cocky statement before the race, saying something about how his rivals would shit in their pants if they knew how strong he was. But I think he matured and learned from that experience.
- Like a ghost opened every door at the zoo today, all kinds of animals running in every direction. None of this was in my dictionary. The biggest GC guys lost it, some unexpected names showed up with fire in their pants.
- I was rooting for Del Toro from early in the race, but I was also very cautious about placing too much hope for GC on him. He's got a big engine, but he needs to decide very soon if he's committing 100% to GC for the long run, or 100% as puncheur. I think he could become super good at either one.
