Puck Pieterse was born on the 13th of May 2002 in the town of Amersfoort, Netherlands. She is a renowned Mountain Bike and Cyclocross specialists who is a headliner in the upcoming generation of female cyclists.

Pieterse very quickly began to show her talent in cycling from early on. Since records began in her junior years, Pieterse has been a consistent winner and performer in more than one discipline, something more and more frequent but still rare within pro cycling. When it comes to Mountain Biking she was Dutch national XCO champion in the junior ranks in 2020. In 2022, upon turning professional, she put more focus in the discipline and showed her talent very abruptly. Pieterse became under-23 European Champion that year and, besides a few other strong performances, was also a winner of the Leogang World Cup and second at the under-23 World Championships.

Despite the young age of 20 and 21 during the 2023 season, she raced as an elite throughout the whole year and among the best won no less than three World Cup rounds - in Nové Mesto, Leogang and Val di Sole. She also won the Short Track at Les Ports du Soleil alongside that specific World Cup, but more noticeably won the Dutch and European Championships. Ending the season she also enjoyed podium results at both XCO and XCC (Olympic and Short Track respectively) World Championships.

On the road she has thus far raced very little but is part of the Fenix-Deceuninck team with a very large long-term contract from 2023 onwards. She raced only twice but noticeably was fifth at Strade Bianche Donne.

When it comes to cyclocross she was under-23 European Champion in the 2020-2021 season and in 2021-2022 she won the World Championships - this is, despite facing tough competition such as Fem van Empel, Shirin van Anrooij and Blanka Kata Vas. In the 2022-2023 season she raced only once as an under-23 rider where she won the European Championships. The Dutch rider raced as an Elite between virtually the entire year and took many achievements - although this was her third year already racing at the top level for almost the entirety of the winter.

Victories in World Cups at Overijse, Hulst, Val di Sole and Besançon were massive triumphs, which she combined with a few more victories including the Dutch national championships. Pieterse was second in the World Cup behind only Fem van Empel who was to become her new main rival.
