Giro d'Italia Manager/ WorldTour Manager 2026

- Even if we doubt his chances, you have to appreciate the drama.
He’s going into this convinced he can challenge Tadej and Jonas, that he’s better than Lipo, regardless of what the fans or media say. That disconnect between his own self belief, and the public’s expectations, is such a compelling narrative… and like the previous two Tours, adds a layer of internal tension that will only heighten the drama of an already anticipated Tour.
It’s another exciting subplot for us to follow, a race within a race.
- everyone knows the dr's note is BS and he doesn't want to ride the nationals but this guy is reporting on it like it's a factual explanation. kind of like the notes doctors give people for their emotional support parrots they take on planes lol
- Agreed @Santiago, and well said.
- Kelderman pretty much crahes 70% of the time, so it is not a choice at all
- I feel like Remco, and his team, are just strategically exploiting a loophole to get out of the Belgian Nationals, which is a ridiculous rule altogether anyway. But if it is the game they must play, then who are we to criticise them for doing so.
That being said, I remain skeptical of Remco’s prospects at the Tour. While I have no doubt his fitness will be top tier, Remco is no GC contender. Even with his past Vuelta victory, I stand by that he is a pure one day racer and TT specialist. I love Remco, he is fantastic to have at a race, and I will forever be a major fan of his. But the longer he, and his team, push him to be something he is not, the more I fear we will continue to see the media crucify him.
And maybe, stop all the talk before these big stage races. Let your legs do the talking, Remco. We already know how good you can be ;)
- I recall they were first and second the previous 6 years. That's domination in my books. How the writer could see it differently is beyond me.
- Let's take a look at this Belgian farce and BS: "A medical certificate is expected to formally justify Remco's absence, preventing the automatic nine-day suspension, but despite the withdrawal, Remco made clear there are no concerns regarding his overall health."
As I understand this buffoonery and horseplay, Remco will hand them a medical certificate that he isn't able to compete, but at the same time he's saying publicly: "I'm completely healthy, I'm going to the Tour de France."
I'm asking everybody, especially you, the Belgians, is this normal, is it logical, fair and reasonable?
- Let's just hope that Decathlon are smart enough to have some sort of a plan which involves him riding the first week or 2 only, without the pressure of any prearranged targets. Let him race on instinct and enjoy himself, and get used to the enormity of pressure that the Tour will inevitably bring. To expect him to finish in Paris, at such a young age is madness. Pull him out early, before exhaustion, and leave him hungry for more. Looking forward to seeing him entertain us in the years to come
- “Guys, let us say that Remco does not feel in the right condition to take part. The team will soon come with a better explanation, but this way I can already save you a lot of questions about this rather complicated and… strange subject.”
Now his team are forced to invent excuses blatantly🤣🤣🤣
- Let me clear some things up. I'm also closely following developments in the professional cycling transfer market. Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team is reportedly preparing a record offer for Seixas. According to my information, the rumored offer is worth a staggering €13 million, significantly more than the €8 million that is believed to be the base salary of the world's best cyclist, Tadej Pogačar, or the approximately €10 million he is thought to earn in total after bonuses for major victories and sponsorship income.
But we all have to take this information about Seixas with a grain of salt.... these are just rumores. There will be more offers coming up... also UAE offers. :))
