Paris-Nice is one of the main stage-races of the season. Ever since 1933 it has been a great event in France, nicknamed the "Race to the Sun" as the peloton heads into the Côte d'Azur throughout several stages that go through France. It is a race frequently marked by strong winds in the plains of central France, aswell as the mountains of the Massif Central and the Alpes Maritimes.
