Some signing make no sense, they already have Ayuso, Skejlmose, there were already grumblings then. Then Gall is coming, he is a genuine podium contender now, so should be fine, even though friction will increase. Gall and Ben also had differences. Now Jegat, he is in no mans' land, not good enough to win GC or stages, but good enough for top 10 , used as domestique early will be not good and will not survive the peak fighting on the last slopes. He is pretty good for teams fighting for points but not for Lidl21-08-2026 19:43

This is just stupid, Organizers have the maximum power to make change, to make a course safe. Not UCI. UCI is literally powerless before ASO and RCS. The UCI is a stupid org but that dont mean it is completely responsible for all that is wrong. Also the team pushing the rider and the rider themselves putting themselves at risk are also prominent reasons. UCI are at fault for not investigating the proper causes and not making the rules. Here's what is common Finlay Tarling (2026): Descent/Traffic André Drege (2024): Descent Muriel Furrer (2024): Descent Gino Mäder (2023): Descent Tijl De Decker (2023): Traffic Davide Rebellin (2022): Traffic Antoine Demoitié (2016): Traffic Wouter Weylandt (2011):Descent Fabio Casartelli (1995): Descent there have been plenty of serious/near death experiences as well probably 10 times more- Jonas, Remco, Froome, Bernal20-08-2026 14:26

The only team who would want him, who has spare money and has good relations with is Ineos . Movistar is out of question. UAE dont need him. No other team that require that kind of rider has money lying around to pay for contract breaking.16-08-2026 13:50

i think riders who have been dropped and are alone need to start following traffic rules to avoid these incidents. Pushing speed in a downhill just increases risk with no benefits16-08-2026 13:43

Nobody controls 1300 km, they do rolling closures for sections upto 1-4 hrs. the biggest problem is that riders who are stragglers should not be left alone and also not press hard on a downhill. Crashing at 100 kph poses serious risks left alone a head on collision with a car.15-08-2026 14:04
