- As usual Ineos making tactical blunders.
- Doesn't Jay Vine come from Zwift racing. Maybe he lacks some bike handling skills compared to riders who grew up doing junior cyclocross
- Article should include where favorites are in the leader board like Jonas
- Brilliant stage! Great for UAE to get that confidence booster though I'd have liked to see Aular win. I also didn't expect Egan to get gapped like that. And as for Giulio Ciccone in the Maglia Rosa, well, my question is why he didn't say that he's not going for GC in previous years? Imagine if he wins
- it's strange to see Egan to drop so fast.
- Nah, in terms of luck, the crash at Itzulia Basque Country 2024 had a much bigger impact on the whole season and helped Pogacar immensely. Jonas Vingegaard, Primož Roglič, and Remco Evenepoel all out in one crash. (Also, Pogacar's teammate Jay Vine almost became paraplegic that day. Seriously, Jay must be the unluckiest pro cyclist in history... Nothing he could've done in either crash.)
- Right now, with Almeida's ongoing health struggles, surprisingly, it looks like the 'mini-Vingegaard' Nordhagen is the strongest climber on the startlist. That is when you assume that the big hitters [Pogacar, Lipowitz, Ayuso, Seixas, del Toro] from the Tour [which will be a very hard edition, as I believe that the duoplay will end soon] don't go to the Vuelta. Perhaps Nordhagen's climbing ability is similar to Felix Gall's, but his TTing is much better. And then you have that other Slovenian fella who I don't believe in.
- Sets him up for potentially yet another good Vuelta though. His fruitful month
- Is there a list of riders who have crashed out of all three Grand Tours? Didn't see that stat on PCS
- Let's not forget that Jonas had his own horrible moment at Itzulia 2024. But the one I really feel for is Jay Vine who has had more bad crashes than I care to remember.
