- While I agree that we like friendly rivals - I mean, who didn't get a little misty when MVDP congratulated Wout at Roubaix? - I think that what drives sport even more is heated rivals. Mercx, Hinault, Armstrong, Boonen, and many other champions have been famously fierce. We can debate where Pog is on that scale, but he is ruthless when he needs to be.MidnightRider05-05-2026

- Of course there's nothing really wrong with it, they are competing against each other, psychological warfare is part of it. But in practice more graceful riders are far more respected - look at Wally - and others less so.

- Greg Lemond TDF placing. 1984, 3rd place: 1985, 2nd place: 1986, 1st place: 1987/88 was shot and out for two years: 1989/ 1990 1st Place! Lemond was the last rider to win the Worlds Championship Jersey and TDF in 1989, 36 years passed until 2025 Pogi won both in the same year! Greg Lemond is The Best US Professional Cyclist the USA has had!! Broke barriers for US cyclist to follow. Because of Greg Lemond I was a better road racing cyclist!! 1988/89/90 raced. Big Thanks to Ken Bostick what a beast of a rider, showing me how to be a better rider! - Amazing that an individual who dopped for 12 years!! Out 18 was NOT Banned for life in any capacity in cycling events being amature or Pro!! Call BS that Any Cycling Organization would accept this!! This individual being around cycling events!! The USA can do Better without having this individual sponsor or be Part of any cycling events. Dopping and cheating is a Cancer that has killed the Love of cycling at all Levels!!!alex2905-05-2026
- You are correct and Pogi is less than 5% better than everyone else.Its a sad testament to all the other teams sports physiologists/ nutritionists that No one has come up with a training/ nutritional technique to close the gap.Earn your keep.
