Adrien Petit will bring the curtain down on his career at
the end of 2025, completing 15 seasons in the professional peloton. The
Intermarché – Wanty rider first made his mark 14 years ago, winning the silver
medal in the under-23 road race at the 2011 World Championships in Copenhagen.
Over the years, he has collected nine career victories, ridden seven Grand
Tours, and carved out a reputation as a specialist in the spring classics.
Paris-Roubaix has been the defining race of Petit’s career.
He has lined up for the “Hell of the North” 13 times, calling it his favourite
event, and earned a career-best 6th place in the 2022 edition. The cobbles were
not his only proving ground, Petit also started the Tour de France on five
occasions, often in a support role that highlighted his consistency and dedication
to his teammates.
His professional journey has taken him through some of
France’s most prominent squads. Petit began at Cofidis in 2011, where he spent
five seasons, before moving to Direct Energie in 2016. He stayed through its
rebrand to TotalEnergies until 2021, and has been with Intermarché–Wanty since
then, continuing to race with the same passion that earned him his classics
pedigree.
