- We all wanted more power back then. We just didn't have a way to quantify what we had at the moment. And many experienced riders just raced very well with RPE which is just as effective in a race as using power if you knew your capabilities. Power meters help people in training much more than races. Take power meters away from racing and little would change in terms of results and tactics.
- By which FDJ rider???
- I think he has probably retired for good, valid personal reasons. But at the same time his timing has blown a big hole in Visma's roster that is impossible to fill now. They have to be unhappy that he announced it in January rather than August.
- I'm old enough to remember life before a pm, and feel is now not very called upon, sadly.. It'd be interesting to see how a race would play out with no tech whatsoever?
- FDJ are they really world tour???? Have they a talent to even break in to the top 10 or even 5 in the TDF.
- Maybe instead of all of the conspiracy theorists he just wants time with his family. Love it how with no evidence or proof that the sherlock holmes of this site say he has been binned by Visma and it will all come out in the wash . Nothing smells at all just people stirring the pot. Every one retires and why not at top of game.
- One article says World tour team and another articles says problems at FDJ
- None of the cards will work if Pogi MVDP attack 100k from finish
- It’s not always unjustified, a lot of people genuinely don’t like his style of racing sometimes which CAN be described as arrogant, others are also disliked fir that by other fans. Conversely, Jonas is disliked by others for a different style which others appreciate, I don’t see the problem, that’s (always been) part of sports rivalry as seen through fan eyes.
I think some are also sensitive to fake humble that you sometimes notice in rider interviews (some more than others) but that’s partly due to media insisting on getting answers to questions riders aren’t happy or prepared for.
I think when you’re a fan of one it’s not possible to be objective because you’ll always be more sensitive to one than to the other.
- Quick answer to your last question ... yes, Tadej is pretty consistently treated worse!
(Remember the slur that he was arrogant, something the people where I live would have been puzzled by, if they'd read these articles like I do.)
I do get your approach, but the reporters of news here actively add to the problem.
