  At the time there was even more talk about Kuss surely looking for a new team after that Vuelta than there was about Roglic finally realising that Visma didn't need him anymore.

  Paul is still developing, he could be ready to win a gt in a year or two. I almost think it's a mistake for him to race at this years Tour but only he knows what his capabilities are and maybe it's a good move for him. Visma does need to find another leader or co leader with Jonas, he'll be thirty in December so he only has a few years left at the top of the sport before he starts slipping. It happens to us all, even phenoms like Jonas. If Paul moves to Visma the timing could be perfect for him if they give him the year or two he needs to develop, remember, he has never raced a gt yet. We'll have to see if it happens.

  At the start of the race this is correct, however hematocrit drops quickly, sometimes right after the first stage of a race depending on how hard it is. Guys who can retain a high hc naturally are always ahead of the game. 50% is not natural though, not at all, I remember when Santiago Botero's doctor said he was naturally above 50% lol
