Marc Hirschi takes Coppa Sabatini 2024 with stunning 36km solo as victorious farewell to UAE Team Emirates continues

UAE Team Emirates' Marc Hirschi has taken victory at the 2024 Coppa Sabatini this Thursday afternoon, backing up his success at the race from 2023. With it, the Swiss one day specialist now has four wins in his last four races too, ending his time at UAE on a real high.

Attacking solo with around 36 kilometres left, Hirschi powered away with the work of the chasers far from fully functioning, the Swiss rider of UAE Team Emirates entered the final 5km leading by a considerable margin of around 40 seconds.

In truth though, the race had been won for a long while and their was no stopping Hirschi. In the fight for the podium behind, Gregor Muhlberger and Anders Foldager took 2nd and 3rd respectively.
