She seems to have a close relationship with her parents. I'm guessing they had many conversations around the topic of her plan to lose weight for the Tour.Regardless, it's sad that this discussion is taking away some enjoyment from her amazing accomplishment. Having had a daughter in gymnastics I understand the pressure and physical and mental dangers of long term weight suppression.

The tracker adds weight and responsibility to one rider on the team. Which DS wants to make that call? "Oh, you're just a domestique so you do it." Not a team-building experience.

Everyone has ideas about what Wout should do. It’s a strange fascination. I guess it comes with the territory. But to argue that what he’s been doing is somehow not enough, but he should not change, seems mostly angled toward history repeating itself, with more chances for commentators to repeat the same refrain.
