VIDEO: Matthew Riccitello blitzes course to set fastest time on stage 20 time-trial with favourites still to come at the Giro d'Italia

Due to the tight nature of the Monte Lussari climb, the stage 20 time-trial has been split into three batches of rides. With two groups down, it's 21-year-old American, Matthew Riccitello who has comfortably the fastest time.

The Israel - Premier Tech rider was on top form, destroying all the other times set to this point, with his effort of 46:19 being 1:57 clear of the man who is in second after two-thirds of the riders have completed their efforts, Thomas Champion.

With the big GC riders still to come however, the likelihood of Riccitello holding onto the stage win is by no means a certainty. Will Primoz Roglic be able to overturn his 26 second deficit to Geraint Thomas? Or will the Welshman hold on to become the oldest Giro d'Italia winner in history?
