VIDEO: Laurenz Rex delights crowd as he wheelies his way up the Monte Lussari

On the penultimate stage of his first-ever Grand Tour, Intermarché-Circus-Wanty rider Laurenz Rex was out to have fun. The 23-year-old delighted the fans in attendance, showing off some impressive bike handling skills.
The Monte Lussari has been a much-discussed part of the Giro d'Italia this year ever since the route was announced. For Laurenz Rex however, riding up it on two wheels was proving easy. To challenge himself, the Belgian chose to wheelie his way up, delighting the thousands that had flocked to the mountain in order to support their favourite rider.

- They couldn’t convict him criminally because he paid up to escape it (that weird American possibility that ensures not all are equal before the law). He was convicted civilly but technically for committing crime. I on the other hand live in a country where unexplained damage to a baby in your care in theory leads to minimum 5 years of prison, if you admit an accident it’s more lenient but telling the truth that you don’t know how a bump on the skull happened exposes you to the as much risk as some who murder and rape.
