Video: Giro d'Italia from the point of view of Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team

Quick-Step were missing some of their main figures at the Giro d'Italia, however with Mark Cavendish at the start they seeked stage wins in the sprints - which they have achieved in Hungary.

In a video shared on Youtube, the Belgian team reveals the inside look on the first week of the Giro d'Italia, which has seen Mark Cavendish sprint to the win on the third day into Balatonfüred. With Michael Morkov, Davide Ballerini and Bert van Lerberghe, there was an experienced and strong leadout in which the Manxman could count on.

In the first week Cavendish also went on to fight for the sprint in Scalea, whilst the hills prevented him from fighting further into the race. There is also focus on Mauri Vansevenant who rode into the white jersey after his breakaway at Mount Etna. From there on the team's performance didn't manage to take a step higher, as Cavendish suffered from the loss of Michael Morkov during the opening week and only Mauro Schmid managed to come close to a win later in the race, in stage 19 - where the Swiss finished second.
