Rúben Silva

I have been the Editor-in-Chief of CyclingUpToDate since its creation in January 2022. Previously, I wrote race previews for my own blog, Echelons Hub, as well as for Ciclismo Internacional. Beyond editorial work, I have played a key role in establishing our sister websites and developing our team, maintaining close contact with CiclismoAlDia (Spanish), CiclismoAtual (Portuguese), WielrennenUpToDate (Dutch), and RadsportAktuell (German). Originally from the Porto metropolitan area in Portugal, I hold a bachelor's degree in Geography. However, my path in the cycling world was shaped by my independent blogging and engagement with the community. I have used this platform to contribute to the sport, aiming to make CyclingUpToDate and its affiliated websites as successful as possible. In just 1.5 years, we have grown our English-language site into one of the most-read cycling platforms from the ground up. Throughout my career—both professionally and as a dedicated enthusiast—I have conducted around 60 interviews, speaking with top riders such as Tadej Pogacar, Primož Roglič, Wout van Aert, João Almeida, Tom Pidcock, and Sepp Kuss; managers like Patrick Lefevere and Joxean Matxín; and YouTube personality Bryan Kenedy (BKXC). These interviews span online formats, press conferences, and pre/post-race coverage across road cycling and cyclocross. If you are interested in requesting an interview, collaborating on a personal project or podcast, or gaining behind-the-scenes insights into the world of cycling, feel free to reach out.
