"Today I go naked" - Tadej Pogacar makes hilarious quip in regards to UCI drama over shorts colours

The ongoing Tadej Pogacar fashion drama at the 2024 Giro d'Italia may take another significant twist on the stage 7 individual time-trial if his latest comments on social media are anything to be believed.
After the UCI threatened disqualification for the Maglia Rosa due to his maroon coloured shorts on the first day he was supposed to be wearing pink, Pogacar has since work pink and black, and more recently, double pink.

With stage 7's individual time-trial having potential GC ramifications, Pogacar's outfit was again a talking point on Eurosport pre-stage, with reporter Anders Mielke giving an update to the controversy surrounding the maroon shorts from stage 3.
Seeing this, Pogacar hilariously responded to the post on Eurosport Cycling's Instagram with the comment "Today I go naked!" Only time will tell if the UAE Team Emirates leader is joking or not...
...I'm waiting for that guy defending the UCI's threat 3 days ago as the only thing between us and total chaos to apologize...

Two days ago wearing maroon shorts was such a grave offense it merited threatening a star rider with disqualification. Now it’s totally fine. Wow UCI! The aura of incompetence grows ever stronger.

- All these ex riders give a brain dead comment now and then. Pogi is three time TDF winner, there are less than 10 riders who have done that. Its not a fluke. Last year he beat Pantani's record by 3.5 minutes. Thats not a fluke. Pogi and Vingegaard have nothing to prove in terms of winning the TDF. They are not one-off. - Neutralising was ok, there needs to be more discussion and guidance about it coming from UCI though so everyone more or less knows when and under which conditions it’s likely to happen. Obviously far more needs to be done with regards to communication. Can’t be that in an era where every rider has an ear piece, they don’t see the obvious practical solution.Mistermaumau13-03-2025
