Going to Bora would have taken pressure off both Remco and Roglic. Bora would be competitive in all three GT while both riders would not have to do all three. In two of the three they could have the 2 pronged attack that you mention. Patrick L can complain even about his good riders and plays mind games with them. I would not have stayed.03-11-2024 21:23

I know an American kid named after Lance, and there are others who probably wished their name was NOT Lance. Greg Lemond was such a great American rider and story. Lance might have had a good career without the doping. By having his entire team dope to serve him makes him THE extreme example of a doper.23-10-2024 16:22

Pidcock is not the only young rider who wants to ride for himself. Successful teams have established leaders and you ride for the leader until it's your turn. For example G Thomas rode for C Fromme. Pidcock was probably on the verge of taking over as leader from GT and didn't seem to have the patience to wait. Q36.5 and he'll probably be the worse off when it comes to grand tours17-10-2024 16:01

This was the year to do it. He has left it to chance that he won't crash out of one of the three in the coming years. He doesn't have an Olympic gold medal yet and he could have had the Olympic gold TT after he trounced Remco in the final TdeF TT.
