Early August will host the 2023 World Cycling Championships to be held in Glasgow. The colleagues of Ciclismocolombiano have advanced the list of riders who will race for Colombia.
This is Colombia's elite men's road roster for the Glasgow 2023 World Championships:
- Miguel Ángel López - Team Medellín
- Fernando Gaviria - Movistar Team
- Santiago Buitrago - Bahrain Victorious
- Rigoberto Urán - EF Education EasyPost
- Sebastián Molano - UAE Team Emirates
- Harold Tejada - Astana Qazaqstan Team
- Walter Vargas - Team Medellín
- Rodrigo Contreras - Colombia Pact for Sport
The list is made up of a group of outstanding and internationally recognized cyclists, led by names such as Miguel Ángel López, who has demonstrated his skill in high mountain competitions and is one of Colombia's cards to play, making a return at top level racing.
Rigoberto Urán, with his experience in three-week races and his ability on varied terrain, will also be a key part of the team's strategy. On the other hand, Fernando Gaviria, known for his speed and power in the sprints, will provide skill on the flatter terrain of the competition.

The Colombian team will be supported by emerging talents such as Santiago Buitrago and Harold Tejada, who have shown remarkable growth in their professional careers and will be a force to be reckoned with on the Scottish route.
In addition, two of the selected cyclists, Walter Vargas and Miguel Ángel López, will also participate in the individual time trial. Walter Vargas, current Pan American champion in this discipline, will seek to demonstrate his skill against the clock and aspires to give an outstanding performance. On the other hand, Miguel Ángel López, Colombian time trial champion, will contribute his experience and strength in this demanding discipline.
