So far at the 2023 Tour de France, barely anything has been able to separate Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar. That was at least, until the Jumbo-Visma's utterly dominant performance in the individual time-trial, something L'Équipe have felt the need to question.
“From another planet," the French sports newspaper titled their review of the latest twist in one of the most exhilarating battles for the Maillot Jaune in recent memory. "Jonas Vingegaard took out his fire extinguisher and extinguished the pyre that had been blazing since the start of this Tour de France. A captivating, fiery duel full of tension with a difference in level that was barely perceptible.”
However, in and amongst the praise for Vingegaard from L'Équipe, there is also a tinge of sceptical incredulity from the French paper over the level of the Dane's performance.
“His performance also fueled another fire, that of suspicion. The eternal mistress of cycling, who flirts with every exceptional achievement. Legitimate questions smoldering in the ashes of the past. Responding to it is one of the responsibilities that come with the yellow jersey."

The slow Frenchies are doping too. Jonas had a Floyd Landis moment. A far better than your typical star doper's best day

Who are you talking about? The French megazine L'Equipe? That was the same megazine that Ballon D'or awards is also on L'Equipe.
