Jury & Fines Tour de France 2024 Update stage 2 - Public urination leads to first rider getting fined at the Tour

Throughout the Tour de France, the race jury attributes fines to some of the riders and sporting directors. Ultimately the fines can come in the form of money, time penalties or even UCI points, depending on the rule breaking. Here we present what has happened during the race.

Stage 1

Nothing to note. 24 bikes were checked for technological fraud and all complied with UCI regulations.

Stage 2

DS Christoph Roodhoft (Alpecin-Deceuninck): Breach of regulations or guidelines concerning vehicle movement during race. 500CHF fine.

DS Gianni Meersman (Alpecin-Deceuninck): Failing to respect instructions of commissaires. 200CHF fine.

Raul Garcia Pierna (Arkéa - B&B Hotels): Undressing or urinating in public. 200CHF fine.
