The French veteran
Julien Simon is on storming form as he continues to put his mark on the French calendar, taking the win today at the
Tour du Finistère just a week after his win at the GP du Morbihan. And both races were won the exact same way, as the
TotalEnergies rider took advantage of his explosivity to win from a late attack.
The 193-kilometer race that had a finale in Quimper was a suiting one for puncheurs, and sure enough Julien Simon made that very clear as he attacked the remaining of the peloton inside the final kilometer, dragging
Clément Venturini with him. However in the final sprint Venturini did not have the legs to match a second acceleration, and the 36-year old stormed to another win - with teammate
Sandy Dujardin finishing in third place.
