I think Pidcock should focus on grand tours rather than the classics - his full spring classics season meant that he finished 16th in Il Giro. However, after getting a full preparation for La Vuelta, he's poised to finish 3rd. Due to the higher level of competition at La Vuelta compared to Il Giro, I think that, if Pidcock had had his current level in Il Giro, he'd have been in the fight for the win.14-09-2025 11:50

On Bola del Mundo, Ayuso needs to go up the road and do a monster pull for Almeida (however unlikely that is). If he does that, he'll gain his reputation back and end La Vuelta on a high. If he's lucky Almeida could gift him the stage win.11-09-2025 22:35

In every grand tour from the 2021 Tour de France till now (with the exception of the 2024 Tour), Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe have had a rider in the top 10. They managed to put 2 riders in the top ten of 2022 Giro d'italia (Won by Jai Hindley), the 2023 Vuelta a España, the 2024 Vuelta a España (won by Primož Roglič) and the 2025 Tour de France. Despite having won two grand tours, this is the first time the team is in a position to get 2 riders in the top 5 of a grand tour. Concerning the 2024 Tour de France, both of their GC candidates - Primož Roglič and Aleksandr Vlasov - crashed out, with third in line Jai Hindley only managing sixteenth.11-09-2025 22:21

"[Almeida] closed the GC gap between them to just 40 seconds with three decisive mountain days remaining". What? The only mountain stage remaining is Stage 20. The other two are flat. The stage to Bola del Mundo will be the final chance for Almeida to win La Vuelta - and for anyone else to have a suprise comeback.11-09-2025 21:49

Next year, as a world tour team, IPT will be included in top 18 teams that are invited to all World Tour races. For next year, 3 Pro-teams will likely be promoted - Lotto, IPT and Uno-X Mobility, due to the Intermarché-Wanty and Lotto merger (which frees up a third World Tour Spot).10-09-2025 21:51

Banning flags would be a disaster. And concerning weapons, one's bare arms are weapons - most incidents caused by a spectator attacking a rider are simply the spectator running straight into the rider.10-09-2025 20:14

IPT shouldn't wear their jerseys tomorrow if they do race. If not for Riccitello's position on GC, I think IPT might have withdrawn much earlier in the race anyway.10-09-2025 20:12

Next year, Jonas should go to Il Giro and Tadej should go to La Vuelta. Which means that no-one else will win a grand tour... unless Almeida, Lipowitz or Onley improve to a level to compete with them.10-09-2025 10:08

Perhaps Roglič could have a last hurrah in the World Championships, just like Alejandro Valverde, though Valverde is still racing... at the age of 44.09-09-2025 13:36

For Primož to win another grand tour, he'd have to move teams. With Lipowitz, Evenepoel, Hindley and Pellizzari (all of whom seem to be stronger than him) aswell as Martínez and Vlasov in his team, he'd not get an opportunity.09-09-2025 12:42
