The problem is that grand tours are not always won by the best riders. In the 2025 Giro d'italia, Carapaz was the strongest rider - but Simon Yates and Del Toro had really good days on Stages 20 and 9 respectively, so they both finished ahead of him02-07-2025 21:40

Eh wot? Who said Martínez will be very unlikely to go for gc? He's won stages of Paris-Nice, Le Tour de Romandie, and Critérium du Dauphiné, aiming for GC in all three races30-06-2025 22:04

Pogačar is so unbeatable that it's better to ignore him, and imagine he doesn't exist. It'll be more fun to watch that way30-06-2025 13:49

On stage 6, Pogačar was isolated, but then Visma mysteriously slowed down, allowing Pavel Sivakov to come back (along with Benjamin Tulett), which was all Pogačar needed. Kuss and Jorgenson should have carried on attacking - not that they'd have be able to drop Pogačar, but, in an absolute best scenario, they'd have stopped him from dropping Vingegaard.25-06-2025 17:24

'Two weeks'. I interpreted it as 'Too weak' or 'Two weaklings'25-06-2025 10:57

I also propose a seven day Tour of the Lake District. The lake district is packed with climbs, all very close together, and can be made into loops, which can be repeated. You can use a repeated loop of any of Whinlatter Pass, Newlands Pass and Honister Pass. You could also use a loop of the Struggle and Kirkstone Pass. You could also use a loop featuring any of Corney Fell, Birker Fell, Hardknott Pass, Wrynose Pass and Walna Scar Pass. If you want flat land go to Keswick25-06-2025 10:38

The best thing to do, as of now, is for the domestíques of TVL, SQS & RBH to constantly attack, thus wearing out UAD's domestíques. Soler would get dropped even if they don't do that, but as for Almeida... all Pogačar needs is one teammate who raises the pace, killing everyone, before Pogačar himself attacks. If Pogačar is completely isolated (unlikely, due to how strong Almeida is), then the others will have to constantly attack.25-06-2025 10:32

It would be better if Horner figured out the mistakes NOT to make, rather than pointing them out after. Pointing out mistakes in hindsight has little to no use (except if the team didn't realise it, but no team is so intellectually challenged for that to happen).25-06-2025 10:24

No-one wants to employ dopers as DSs, it's suspicious. Except for UAD, obviously, they quite like dopers.25-06-2025 10:20

That's because he's a sprinter. Sprinters always win more. If I'm not mistaken, both Merlier and Brennan have 10 wins this year, though neither have been as important as Pogačar, who has 1125-06-2025 10:18
