Jonas Vingegaard is riding the Tour de France in 2023, and will be the leader of Jumbo-Visma as he looks to defend the yellow jersey he's conquered with a magnificent performance this past summer.
“I was happy having Primož by my side and my wish was to go back to the Tour de France to defend my title," Vingegaard said in the team presentation. "I’m happy I can go and we’ll try to go for one more."
He, Primoz Roglic and Wout van Aert were the main focus of attention yesterday in Amsterdam as men's, women's and development teams came together for a big presentation.
The Dane had already hinted, but with the confirmation that Primoz Roglic will target the Giro d'Italia, Vingegaard will have free reign to lead the Grand Boucle lineup. Wout van Aert and Dylan van Baarle have been confirmed to be targeting it aswell.

"It’s different going to the Tour now, compared to last year. Somehow there’s more pressure but also less pressure because we did it. If I don’t win it again in my career, I can still be super happy with what I’ve done," Vingegaard concluded.
