How much money do Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock win on cyclocross start fees

Start fees are known in cyclocross. Whilst in road cycling they are in place too for a few select races that have the budget to bring in big stars, that is more frequently the case in cyclocross and there is an insight on how much Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock are payed per presence.

Whilst Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert will be focusing on the World Championships, the reigning World Champion Tom Pidcock is still uncertain if he will set foot in Hoogerheide in February, as he eyes the spring classics and a proper preparation. Termed the 'big three' all of them have almost unseen talent on the road and are forced to make decision, and with that comes a small CX calendar despite their quality.

Hence, with few races on the schedule, some organizers make the effort to convince the giants of the sport to be at their venue. According to Niels Albert, who has wrote in a column on Het Laatste Nieuws, the values are somewhat known for the riders' presence in the race - coming from someone who's ridden at the top level.

Whilst Mathieu van der Poel receives between €15.000-20.000, Wout van Aert brings in around €15.000 and World Champion Tom Pidcock nets €8.000. It's unknown whether other riders receive aswell.
