Intermarché - Wanty reportedly secure Tour of Oman revelation Huub Artz for next two seasons

Intermarché - Wanty has signed Huub Artz for 2025 and 2026. Several sources have confirmed this to WielerFlits. The 21-year-old Dutchman will make the switch to the WorldTour team next year. This season, Artz will compete for the Wanty–ReUz–Technord training team, but the intention is that he will participate in a large number of higher-level competitions with the WorldTeam.

Artz impressed the cycling world last month when he nearly robbed the pure climbers off a stage victory on top of the Green Mountain at Tour of Oman, only to be caught with couple hundred meters left from the line after an impressive solo effort.

Even after the great performance in Oman, Artz does not see himself as a climber. "No, more of an all-rounder or even a classics rider. But I gained a lot of power last winter. I noticed that I was able to do hard turns very easily in the leading group," he said then.

For Intermarché-Wanty, Artz's strong performance with the WorldTeam is a reason not to wait long and immediately sign him for the future.
