I agree with him. I saw the overhead video. It really looked like Gaviria went left and wasn’t paying attention. At a minimum, Gaviria deviated more from his line than Michelen.15:36

The UCI needs to add a new rule that limits the number of times someone can be DQed in a year. After that, they get suspended. This guy is doing everything he can right now to annoy them.09-06-2026 15:36

The only way they can win at CAS is if they show that the officials did not follow procedures.04-06-2026 22:25

I see both of these as sloppy team management. SD-worx knew how the rule was written and should have had a safety margin built in. Both of these make women’s cycling look like amateur-hour. There has been too much criticism of the race officials on the Weibes case. The UCI guide says 6.800kg, not 6.8, and the penalty is a DQ. Had they not DQ’d her, the second place team should have protested. I do think the UCI should change the penalty for stage races to something like “relegation and yellow card”.04-06-2026 15:31

I do agree that it’s a harsh penalty , but the rule doesn’t say “6.8 kilos”. It says 6.800 kilos”. It also mentions differences is weights. That means the UCI weighed it multiple times and it failed on all. Saying that it passed at other races doesn’t count. They may have had more sealant in the tires at those races. And this is the root of the problem. If the team is running so close to the limit that a tire burping sealant would cause a DQ, then the team has to take some responsibility.01-06-2026 14:20

I'm a big fan, and I'd really like to see him do well. But, I would also like to see him retire at the end of 2026.10-01-2026 03:02

It would be nice to see him have a healthy season and do well.18-12-2025 18:52

You have to see the photos of him from the side. He looks ridiculous. The UCI now has a Poster-Boy for why they need more equipment regulations. This is unfortunate since they should be spending more time on race vehicles, marshaling and barrier placement.17-10-2025 15:37

The group that really needs better representation is the race organizers. Neither the UCI nor the riders are spending any time worrying about what they just did to the guy that runs this race and his ability to get sponsors next year.18-08-2025 05:55
