Welcome to the Jungels! We’re excited to announce that the experienced Luxembourger @BobJungels has signed a two-year deal with the Grenadiers 🤝
After two years at Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, the globetrotter adventure of Bob Jungels continues with INEOS Grenadiers his new destination. It's by no means that Jungels' stay at the German formation didn't bear fruits, but as his current team's ambitions grow, the Luxembourger opted to move on. In INEOS, he should take on more of a captain role, guiding all the young talents in the British team over the next two years.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the INEOS Grenadiers. This is a team that I've always admired, and this opportunity has come along at the perfect time," Jungels said in press release. "I truly believe that within this environment I’ll be able to take my performance to the next level, while at the same time sharing my experience within the group. The Team’s ambition, approach and attention to detail is impressive, and I truly believe that the future here is very bright. I’m really looking forward to being a part of that."
In the 31-year-old Jungels, Ineos gains a rider who used to finish top-10 in Grand tours, winning a stage at the 2022 Tour de France and 2017 Giro d’Italia. In addition, Jungles is a former winner of Liege-Bastogne-Liege and Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne.
Performance Director Scott Drawer said: "Bob’s palmares is very impressive and the talent and experience that he’s going to bring to our team is going to be invaluable. We’ve got a significant number of highly talented younger riders who look up to the experience we have within our rider group, and Bob will form an important part of that mentoring culture."
