  Right now, with Almeida's ongoing health struggles, surprisingly, it looks like the 'mini-Vingegaard' Nordhagen is the strongest climber on the startlist. That is when you assume that the big hitters [Pogacar, Lipowitz, Ayuso, Seixas, del Toro] from the Tour [which will be a very hard edition, as I believe that the duoplay will end soon] don't go to the Vuelta. Perhaps Nordhagen's climbing ability is similar to Felix Gall's, but his TTing is much better. And then you have that other Slovenian fella who I don't believe in.

  Let's not forget that Jonas had his own horrible moment at Itzulia 2024. But the one I really feel for is Jay Vine who has had more bad crashes than I care to remember.

  everyone starts a grand tour incredibly motivated. I think very few riders come in nonchalant not caring about their role or if their team wins. he isn’t winning due to motivation alone. he is winning due to great teamwork and great form.

  Jonas might have luck on his side this year, but it only makes up for a couple rough years of bad crashes. it is part of the sport, not even sure why Horner comments on this.

  Tadej would have dropped the group and won the stage. Jonas was not able to do so. big difference. there is wanting to take ahold and being able to.

  I'm pretty stoked to see who gets into the top five/podium given how wide open the field is under the overwhelming favourite. It should make for a really entertaining battle, even if Jonas (presumably) is locked into first place.
