- it takes some good luck to win roubaix. mathieu has had that for the last few years. this year he got bitten. it happens. and when it does even being as strong as he was sunday usually isn’t enough.
- pulling out and winning all GTs and never going for Roubaix - why would he do that? He got 2nd 2 x. He is knocking at the door.
As for injuries, it seems there are more on training rides than in Roubaix. anyone can get knocked out anytime for a season - or sadly, for life.
so my point is guys like Tadej just like to race. go for it, fun for him, fun for us. injuries are a part of the sport, why live in fear.
- If he does the PR win then he is the greatest classics rider of all time.
- Ha, another revelation of your messed up thinking, being proud of something you have nothing to do with.
- I don't remember so many equipment related mishaps in the 2025 Paris Roubaix race. This year's race had all top riders suffer multiple punctures and other failures. What changed?? It's sad that the equipment defines this race rather than the cyclists.
- No, Chris Horner and Tom Danielson live in their own little bubbles. Phil Gaimon seems to understand that without hills Tadej is toothless… for now
- The TNT experts are obviously in the "Anyone but Pogacar" camp. If Pogacar wins, cycling is boring. If Pogacar loses, it's the best race ever!
- we'll still love pogi. Even though you almost make me want to dislike him
- No matter how annoying you become with you Pogi fanboy
- I wonder what Nordhagen can do... I'd say he's the best climber in the race, judging by his performance at the UAE Tour. A maiden pro win would not surprise me. And I also wouldn't be surprised if Lorenzo Finn follows suit at the Tour of the Alps, leaving only Jarno Widar left to take his first pro win
