The AG2R Citroën team has unveiled its squad for the upcoming E3 Saxo Classic, featuring Oliver Naesen, Benoît Cosnefroy, and Greg Van Avermaet as key riders.
The race has witnessed Van Avermaet's impressive performance, consistently delivering outstanding results. His journey of success began in 2008, when he first secured the third spot on the podium, and he has continued to shine in the following years, winning the race in 2017 and receiving bronze in 2018 and 2019.
Even though his health is not optimal, he remains dedicated to competing and putting forth his best effort. “Being sick after Milan-San Remo is very frustrating. I had a good preparation, but now I don't know exactly where I stand. I was able to resume training on Monday,” he said on his team’s website.
Alongside him, the team will feature Oliver Naesen, who clinched a bronze medal in the 2017 race, and Benoît Cosnefroy, who will be competing for his second time and aiming for a win without hesitation. Completing the squad are Stan Dewulf, Lawrence Naesen, Damien Touzé, and Valentin Retailleau.
