The French cup saw another of it's one-day races this afternoon, the Boucles de l'Aulne. Axel Zingle has finished second on five different occasions this season, but has finally won today in the final sprint.
The hilly race around the city of Châteaulin featured a classic French parcours, suited to the classics riders and those who thrive in the chaos. Over the countless climbs that have been tackled in the race a group of seven riders stood apart towards the finale featuring Axel Zingle, Fredrik Dversnes, Markus Hoelgaard, Mads Wurtz Schmidt, Valentin Ferron, Joel Nicolau and Alexandre Delettre.
A sprint decided the outcome of the day, with the Cofidis rider finally achieving a much desired victory. He beat Delettre and Wurtz Schmidt directly who completed the two podium spots.
