Adam Yates wins Tour de Suisse as João Almeida wins final time-trial, his second win of the week

The Tour de Suisse has been won by Adam Yates. UAE Team Emirates absolutely dominated the race as they have won the final four stages of the race. Stage 8, the final time-trial, has been won by João Almeida.

The Portuguese rider managed to take the final stage win, beating his teammate Yates by 9 seconds of advantage. However, because of the efforts of the Briton in previous days, he still managed to win the overall classification. Both are ready for the Tour de France, where they will race together with Tadej Pogacar and Juan Ayuso as well.

Mattias Skjelmose has finished third on the day, 21 seconds down, whilst Matthew Riccitello and Tom Pidcock rode to fourth and fifth on the day. Egan Bernal lost his third place in the overall classification to Skjelmose, whilst Riccitello was fifth.
