The
Tour de Suisse holds a pivotal position in the cycling calendar, serving as the ultimate challenge before the Tour de France. Taking place from June 9th to 16th, this eight-day stage race in Switzerland attracts some of the Tour's top contenders. It offers a rigorous course with mountainous stages, time trials, and opportunities for classics specialists to shine.
The total
prize money for the race is of €130.000 which comes together as the sum of all classifications and stage results. The winner of the overall classification takes home €16.000 whilst each stage winner wins €4000, with the first 20 riders across the line and in the GC each day take some sort of financial reward. The winners of the points, KOM, youth and teams classifications win €2000.
