VIDEO: Egan Bernal already walking less than three weeks after life-threatening accident

On a video shared on social media last night, the INEOS Grenadiers rider has shown another big step in his rehabilitation and he showed his capacity to be walking with no kind of support, on his own.

On the 24th of January Egan Bernal was involved in a serious accident whilst training in Colombia with some of his teammates. The consequences ended up being much bigger than initially rumoured, as he mentioned he broke almost twenty bones and had a 95% chance of becoming paraplegic. Updates have been constant ever-since and with an incredible medical support, the Colombian has managed to get through incredibly threatening hurdles, and on Sunday he was discharged from the hospital where he spent almost two weeks.

On the 31-second video he shared, a smiling Bernal appears satisfied with what he is already capable of doing, whilst taking a small walk outside of his home near Zipaquirá in Colombia.
