It has been a very complicated edition of Paris-Roubaix with several crashes. The Trouée d'Arenberg was no exception, with several candidates for a win going down on the treacherous five-star sector.
As Wout van Aert, Mathieu van der Poel and a few more riders attacked off the front the peloton put on a fierce chase. However the tension ended up badly for several riders. Defending champion Dylan van Baarle was among the involved, Kasper Asgreen and Fred Wright also came down violently. All three riders were among those who abandoned with the injuries.
