- Personally I wouldn’t care if he’d won a thousand races or zero races….he’s just one of those characters that cycling needs. Sometimes he lets his mouth run a bit too much ( getting caught by Jonas in the time trial was just Karma after his ‘no balls’ comments the year before…… as soon as Vingegaad turned the last bend you knew what was coming) Fair play to the guy though, he always takes it on the chin and he’s constantly under the microscope of media scrutiny. When he puts pen to paper he come across as a very considered person, which is much to his credit. I hope Red Bull just send all three of them to the tour and say “go and enjoy yourselves and cause havoc” 😁
- I don't see a lot of evidence that Remco has peaked or stagnated. His TT skills keep getting better. 2024 was an amazing year for him even despite the nasty Itzulia crash that sidelined him for several months.
It's true 2025 hasn't been amazing for him as he has been suffering the after effects of a training crash. But even his "bad year" would be pretty good for many riders with several prestigious wins and podiums.

He's clearly a great cyclist who was a super-phenomenon as a junior, but as an adult, the super-phenomena have shifted to others. That's all, in my opinion.

- Look at his palmares - more than 60 wins - monuments, world championships, grand tour, olympic golds…. If that is not enough… people love to gives critics but this guy is incredible and only blinds cant see this
- For sure. With the Remco dollars saved they can go back to their roots and get riders that win but within the system. Not become the system like Remco.
