Alpecin - Fenix had a complicated race with some riders abandoning and the expected win not coming, but on the final day of racing at the
Tour of Antalya Jakuk Mareczko managed to reel in his first win for the team.
Some moves went early on but some without success, the real break of the day settled with Matthew Teggart (WiV SunGod), Abram Stockman (Saris Rouvy Sauerland Team) and Pirmin Benz (Germany national team) who braved up and took the head of the race. With Teggart a GC threat at 1:10 off the lead the group was never given much freedom.
They were reeled in to the peloton close to the end of the stage though and a bunch sprint became inevitable. Human Powered Health delivered a perfect leadout for
Arvid de Kleijn but
Jakub Mareczko launched his sprint beforehand and showed the speed that is familiar to the Italian. A fast sprint for a dominant win, his first since signing for Alpecin, with De Kleijn and stage one winner
Matteo Malucelli wrapping up the podium.
As for the overall classification the GC riders stayed safe and kept their position, with
Uno-X Pro Cycling Team's Jacob Hindsgaul Madsen sealing the first overall win of his career, with
Alessandro Fedeli and Luc Wirtgem closing the podium.
