The peloton will return to the
Arctic Race of Norway this August, as the summer temperatures see the north of the country in a state where the peloton can comfortably ride over the arctic circle. The event will take place from the 11th to the 14th of August and go through four stages.
The first of which starts and finishes in Mo i Rana, a day that will be well suited to the sprinters, that will decide the first leader of the race. Stage two will not be too different, only this time with a shorter stage into Bronnoysund.
The last two stages will see the tables turn and instead the puncheurs and classics riders will come to the front. Stage three is one without too many difficulties, but the hilltop finale in Skallstuggu sees 5.4 kilometers at 5%, which will limit the riders capable of being in contention. That will all set up the grand finale in Trondheim, with an explosive final four-lap circuit around the city which features a climb of 1.5 kilometers at 7.5% which should be crucial for the outcome of the race.
