The transfers season has opened just over a week ago and several teams have struck the market hard. One was Israel - Premier Tech with the immediate signing of Dylan Teuns, and his compatriot Jens Reynders is set to join him next year.
Omloop Het Nieuwsblad report that Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise rider Jens Reynders has signed a two-year deal with Israel - Premier Tech. This comes after weeks of negotiation, and shared interest in the Belgian from the UAE Team Emirates team who have recently undergone a large-scale renewal project which includes some of the team's biggest names, aswell as some of it's classics stars, where Reynders would ideally fit.
The Israeli team seems to have gotten the best however. Reynders has developed in the Leopard Pro Cycling Team aswell as the development team of the current Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB, and has spend a year at Hagens Bermans Axeon. He returned to Belgium in 2021 to race for Sport Vlaanderen, where he fit in well in the team's aggressive and classics-oriented strategy.
He's had strong results in the cobbled classics mainly, being a powerhouse rider, having finished fifth at this year's Antwerp Port Epic. He also led the Tour de Hongrie after finding himself on repeated breakaways, and will be racing the Arctic Race of Norway later this week where he'll be on the hunt for more results.
