The Tour de France is still in play but a lot happens within the team and plans are being finalized for the Vuelta a Espana. Primoz Roglic will be returning to fight for victory, and his support crew may involve Sepp Kuss who can ride a third Grand Tour this season.
Roglic, after winning the Giro d'Italia, was expected to ride the Vuelta as the team had built a solid block towards the Tour de France. He did not race the Tour de Suisse where some expected him as it is the final big stage-race missing in his palmarès and he ended the Giro in great form, instead taking the time to enjoy and recover from a successful race and properly prepare for the Vuelta, where he crashed out last year after taking three GC titles.
Behind him is a shortlist of eight riders, missing Edoardo Affini or other rouleurs who could support on the flat stages as was the case in the Giro. Instead a climber packed lineup including Sepp Kuss who is currently finishing his second Grand Tour and again in great form, and Attila Valter who is making his GT debut at the Vuelta after having been signed earlier this year.

The lineup would also include Wilco Kelderman who is currently riding the Tour de France, Robert Gesink and Tobias Foss who could not ride the Giro because of a late Covid-19 infection, Milan Vader, Gijs Leemreize and Koen Bouwman.
