🚨 📝Matteo Jorgenson's contract at Jumbo-Visma - starting in 2024 - will be for an initial three years 🇺🇸🇳🇱
Jumbo-Visma is making big moves in the market. Despite it's immense success the team looks for more, and with a budget below that of INEOS Grenadiers and UAE Team Emirates they continue to sign big talents, Matteo Jorgenson the next one.
The Dutch team seems to be on the verge of signing Ben Tulett directly from INEOS Grenadiers, but this winter there is one move that seems certain at this point. Matteo Jorgenson of Movistar team is, according to GCN's Daniel Benson, moving over to the Dutch team with a three-year contract.
Jorgenson would likely find some freedom to ride for his own results in one-week races whilst playing a supporting role in the Grand Tours. Jorgenson has won the Tour of Oman and it's queen stage this year, finished second in the Tour de Romandie, but has equally succeeded in the cobbled classics where he rode to fourth at the E3 Saxo Classic and ninth at the Tour des Flanders.
His versatility may, despite Jumbo's incredibly strong classics block, see the spring classics as a block. He should become another very valuable cog in a wheel that has over the last few years functioned quite well.
