- i think the roodhooft brothers are just thankful that their cash cow hasn’t taken up base jumping or bull riding. yet…
- Nice article. Interesting to read about how it all goes at the Tour de France.
- Wait, a teammate of one of the most reckless sprinters who cannot sprint in a straight line is upset with another sprinter? That is rich. Que up some of Jasper's sprints from '23 and you will find he purposely crosses lines and he did on stage one blocking Biniam Girmay into the barriers. Either way, it was not Coquard's sprinting, but his collision with another rider that sent him into the path of Phillipsen. Alpecin whining about recklessness is like the bully crying when someone punched him back.
- Compared to what MVDp does in his free time, Jonas’ hobby is as safe as model railway construction.
- Adam Blythe confused? What’s new?
- should mvdp start leading out groves on the few sprint stages left (as he attempted to today) or should he try to score at least SOME of those sprint points for himself in pursuit of the GREEN JERSEY? realistically groves has no chance to take green home, but mathieu does.
- I agree with the first part but have reservations for the rest. We have no idea what discussions already took place regarding his future between all parties and if the road map was stuck to. If he was promised certain things or conditions but they didn’t materialise then she has every right to pressure them by other means, maybe the team were warned before and didn’t take it very seriously and she’s just putting the warning on the record?
- Primoz is only saying that because reality finally hit him that he's just not as good as the rest and leaving Visma was a bad idea.
- Would be cool to know the conversation Wellens had with the guys in front when he signalled "hey i'm going to escape in front, you guys ok with that? I promise i'll slow down after the sommet line!" Hehehe, maybe that isn't much far from the truth
- Soudal-Quick Step have always been a Classics/Sprinting team, it's very hard to transition to a GC team. I do think that Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe is already too stocked with climbers for Evenepoel. Roglič is their leader, but you've also got Hindley, with Lipowitz, Pellizzari and Fisher-Black being rising young talents. Before long, you'll have Lorenzo Finn and Luke Tuckwell from the development team.
