Yesterday's Tour de France presentation saw many reactions from all across the cycling world, and even though Remco Evenepoel was not present, his name was mentioned many times. Tadej Pogacar was asked about what he believes the World Champion should do.
“Remco has to write its own story and put together its own program,” Pogacar told Het Nieuwsblad at the end of the route reveal. “I can't tell him to come to the Tour. It's his decision. He is world champion and one of the best riders. But if I was world champion, I would go to the Tour.”

As it stands, both Giro d'Italia and Tour de France remain an option. Whilst the Italian Grand Tour packs in almost 70 kilometers of ITT, the Tour presents only 22 highly difficult. However the Giro does feature more high altitude and difficult mountain tests late in the race, and it could be argued too that the rainbow jersey could have an effect on the decision.
