INEOS Grenadiers are seeing the departure of Richard Carapaz and Adam Yates this season, alongside the likely departure of Carlos Rodríguez in the coming season and Egan Bernal's uncertainty to recover his best level. Another of the team's cards, Daniel Martínez, is also unsure of his future.
“We are still working on my future," the Colombian said in an interview with Semana. "I am in talks with my current squad, but there are other offers as well. But for now I want to focus on the current and upcoming season at INEOS"
With the team putting it's focus into developing young talents, more and more it's current leaders are setting off from the team, with staff changes included, as the British team look to prepare a new generation with hopes of retaking what used to be a dominant position atop road cycling.
Wielerflits said BORA - hansgrohe is a possibility for the Colombian, with compatriot Sergio Higuita having a contract until 2024, the season where Martínez could be joining as he currently still features a contract until the end of the 2023 season with the British team.
