The European road season is slowly coming to a wrap, but before that happens, there is still one month filled with action ahead. Starting just three days after the European Championships, the traditional
Tour de Luxembourg will serve as a testing ground for many Worlds favourites, including Mathieu van der Poel.
The lineup of
Soudal - Quick-Step somewhat fades in comparison with the current world champion, but the Belgian team is confident they can play a major part with
Mauri Vansevenant as a leader for general classification.
"Luxembourg is one of our last stage races of the year and we go to the start with the desire of getting some good results on what will be a challenging week. The guys are confident, so we will try to be in the mix each day and look for opportunities, create chances if possible, and hopefully, come out of the race with some nice results," said sports director Dries Devenyns ahead of the race.
