Lotto Soudal have secured two more riders for the 2023 season. The team is on the brink of a possible relegation, which is causing some doubts within the team, however it is working on it's future, bringing in Sylvain Moniquet and Sebastién Grignard for the coming two seasons.
Moniquet was close to his first pro win at the Giro d'Italia at Mount Etna this year, forming part of the team's limited focus in the mountainous terrain. 23-year old Sébastien Grignard was a product of the Belgian team's development ranks, and will also be filling a spot of support within the team.
Team CEO John Lelangue has talked about the extension with two of the team's rider, restating the confidence put in both riders: “Extending the contracts of Grignard and Moniquet is a logical decision for us.
"They represent what we stand for as a team: giving young, Belgian talent all the opportunities to further develop their selves. Both have seized the opportunities we have given them over the past two years with both hands. We are proud of the way they have developed and full of confidence about the future, where they will have an important role to play," he concluded.
