Bradley Wiggins has once again come to support
Mark Cavendish. When Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl announced their team for the tour, Cavendish was missing from the list, and now Patrick Lefevere surprised everyone with Cavendish's departure from the team.
Bradley Wiggins and Matt Stephens were discussing Cavendish’s future following the announcement of his departure by the team by general manager Patrick Lefevere." I imagine there will be no shortage of teams that would want that or that would see a place for Mark in their team," said Wiggins.
When asked about which team will be perfect for him, he said, “Well, he's still got ambitions for himself, The one I thought was TotalEnergies, Because of the Specialized link. With Edvald there,Niki Terpstra, Daniel Oss. Lots of good lead outriders. It'd be interesting.”
Cavendish made history when he secured four stage victories last year making his total stage wins in the tour to 34. His dream of breaking the record was shattered after he was left out of the Quick-Step team.
