Lance Armstrong: "The best story of the year was Sepp Kuss"

The 2023 season has delivered a lot of spectacle all throughout. From Mathieu van der Poel's great season, Primoz Roglic and Mark Cavendish's Giro d'Italia success, and much more... Lance Armstrong believes the main story of the year was that of Sepp Kuss' Vuelta a Espana victory,

"The best story of the year was Sepp Kuss. For him to be that guy, that teammate extraordinaire teammate for his whole career, and then have this long season and show up at the Tour of Spain and win. If you're not aware there's just a very few people ever who attempt to do three Grand Tours in one season, it's insanity," Armstrong said in a recent episode of 'The Move'.

There, the American took part in his third Grand Tour of the season, and benefited from an early breakaway to conquer the red jersey. He played a key part for the team's victory in both other races, but in Spain he resisted attacks from both Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard - who then agreed to help Kuss take the win after the mythical Alto de l'Angliru stage.
